ENGLISH: Artivive enables you to enjoy art from home

The Vienna start-up Artivive has been enriching the art world with its innovative augmented reality tool for museums and artists since 2017. The innovative augmented reality app of the art world, Artivive, in partnership with two renowned Viennese museums are now making it possible to enjoy art from home. Masterpieces can be experienced virtually on the websites of the Vienna Albertina and the Belvedere Vienna, using the free Artivive app.

Albertina Vienna
Selected masterpieces of the Albertina in Vienna are now available at https://www.albertina.at/en/home (direct link: https://artivive.com/albertina) and can be experienced in a new dimension with Artivive. There are hidden secrets to discover and background information to be revealed on works, such as Albrecht Dürer's Young Hare, and Vincent van Gogh's Le Café de Nuit à Arles.

Belvedere Vienna
Discover Egon Schiele virtually using a mobile app: eight world-famous works by the Austrian painter, from the Belvedere’s permanent collection, can be rediscovered using augmented reality. X-ray, infrared, and macro images that were discovered during the restoration at the Belvedere can be seen.

The Artivive app not only works on the original physical picture in the museum, but also on your computer screen. Just open the images via the website and view them while using the Artivive app.

"With this initiative, we want to support museums to make their works tangible to the public at home. We are pleased that the Vienna Albertina and the Belvedere are playing a pioneering role here and we’re currently in discussions with other cultural institutions," says Artivive co-founder, Sergiu Ardelean.
